I was hesitant to watch the new Netflix One Piece, but I believe Iñaki Godoy is doing a great job as Luffy.

This probably has to be the best live-action adaptation of an anime series. Given that this series is over 25 years old and has a global fan base, I'm interested to hear about what others think about it.

Something about watching Jackie Chan's blooper reels that just makes my day 😆

Y’all, if you’re getting frustrated you’re not seeing the content you want to like news or intel you need on Mastodon, you really need to shift your thinking from algorithmic social media. Follower counts don’t matter much here. Likes do not matter to post reach. Without your interaction, you will just see a live FIFO firehose. Some quick fixes:

Hashtag your posts liberally and consistently, and follow key hashtags of interest to you. Hashtags matter a ton here to being seen.

Follow and also alert on accounts you always want to see content from.

Consider using the built in RSS feature for your feeds and for specific hashtags.

Consider switching to the more advanced UI in your preferences, so you can watch multiple filtered and unfiltered feeds. Or a different mobile app.

Use Fedifinder to follow all the accounts you followed on Twitter, and sync up your follow and block lists.

Avail yourself of the multiple public lists of hundreds of journalist accounts on Mastodon.

The ability to reverse Alzheimer's disease? This would be a huge breakthrough!

When I worked in the organ donation industry there was a researcher that was procuring brains of patients that had Alzheimer's disease. The little I learned was that Alzheimer's disease is a protein degenerative disease which literally causes the brain to fall apart as the disease progress.

I'm looking forward to the day memory loss due to old age is no longer a thing.

When Nino knew he was going to win this competition.

I think Nino was listening to Karlos' timing between his scream catching the bar, the foot stomp and weight thud

I don't believe the driver who dropped this off has seen many spy movies. The jammer gets stashed away some where like taped under a table... You don't drop it off next to rocket with the vehicle you drove in with!

Contactless attack against capacitive touchscreens on remote devices of specific make and models

"The attack, which works from a distance of up to 40mm, hinges on the fact that capacitive touchscreens are sensitive to EMI, leveraging it to inject electromagnetic signals into transparent electrodes that are built into the touchscreen so as to register them as touch events."

... but aside from that grim future, I'd love to own and play with one of these 😁

These crypto muggings remind me of the Watch Dogs game series.

Within the game you may find some NPGs with high financial value and if you have the right skills you could essentially rob people of their money remotely while walking down the sidewalk or driving your car.

My fave part of the current flurry of fediverse activity is watching all my fellow early adopter instance admins geek out at the fact that so much of the general public seems to finally be *getting* it.

It's easy to keep talking about the bad stuff we see but I choose to remember the good things in life -like how Lady Gaga so sweetly helped Liza Minnelli when they both hosted the Oscars for Best Picture award.

In front of a live audience you could see Liza get flustered reading her cue cards and stutter a few times. Then, you see Gaga kindly help Liza introduce the nominees while keeping Liza's dignity intact.

"This study contributes to the evidence that plastic particles have not just pervaded throughout the environment, but are pervading our bodies too," she told the Science Media Center.
